I was just trying to look at the next couple of years or the next level. The first time I'd ever heard of or seen the CFL was on TV when I was 11 or 12. I didn't watch a lot of it maybe a handful of games but I loved football regardless and I would have watched any football growing up. If there had been flag football on TV, I would have watched that. If there was arena football or whatever, I would have watched that. My wife, Laurie, has always supported me in everything I've done and has always been there.

I always just assumed everybody didn't have things. The good part was that when my dad decided to coach, he always had the Little League equipment or the basketballs for the recreational teams. And that was a big deal. We always had decent equipment to play our pickup games and throw the ball around in the backyard. We always had all the kids at our house playing basketball or going to Farm League practice. My dad or mom would pick everybody up and drive them to the field. From age eight to twelve, while my parents were busy coaching and coordinating games, we'd go to Hoover Junior High School on Saturday morning at eight and come home at six in the evening.
