So will currently fashionable “pleated pants” of the Dockers style, and cargo pants. In jeans, only a “relaxed fit” cut is likely to be practical for this sort of carry. Always carry your pocket gun in a pocket holster! This will (a) keep its safety catch, if it has one, from being wiped into the “fire” position inadvertently; (b) keep the gun oriented properly for a quick draw; (c) keep the muzzle from wearing a hole through the pocket, and (d) keep the distinctive shape of the pistol from “printing” against the fabric and revealing the fact that you are armed.

You want to be sure that the trigger finger is outside the pocket holster. This keeps it from entering the trigger guard prematurely. Do not press the trigger finger against the pocket holster, or it can trap the holster to the gun and cause both to be drawn together. The angle at which you draw may be dependent on the pocket holster you’ve chosen and the cut of the pocket. With a square pocket, you’ll have to draw straight up, and with a steeply cut “slash pocket,” you may have to pull the gun rearward as you draw.

Pocket Holster All but the most tightly tailored police uniform pants and suit pants will allow a small, light handgun to conceal in a side trouser pocket.
